"I don't want a nation of thinkers, I want a nation of workers."
John D. Rockefeller,
once stated. He was also a man who built the entire education system in the US. By investing $129 million to provide funding for schools nationwide and create the curriculum. With 1 goal in mind: to create reliable, obedient productive factory workers. So, instead of teaching them critical thinking and creativity, they taught punctuality, obedience, and repetitive work. Problem is: Despite the changing times, The current education system still closely resembles the previous factory model of education. → Rigid systems of seating, grouping, grading and marking → The authoritarian role of the teacher → Repetition and memorization → Lack of individualization Which means: We are all taught to think the same way. And follow the exact same process: - Get a degree - Find a job - Pay the bills It doesn't teach us to think outside the box, find better opportunities & build wealth. That's what separates the rich from the poor. They understood this early enough, educated themselves, and adopted the growth mindset. Exactly why: → Formal education will make you a living, but personal education will make you a fortune. What would be your thoughts?
